J-B’s Sensational Haiku Wednesday
March 23rd, 2011 by J-B
Greetings! It’s Wednesday. Snow here in southern Ontario: no spring for us just yet! Here’s a few haiku for you:
Roots
Think of roots we eat:
carrot, beet, potato, yam.
I like peanuts best!
Had a root canal?
Gas? Local freezing? Nothing?
Your pain tolerance!
Our roots: they ground us,
nourish us, stabilize us,
define, direct us . . . .
Joy I feel today
is rooted in a friendship
that is so special . . . .
Hear this expression?
“Root for the home team! Hoot! Hoot!”
Where can it come from?
Confusion abounds.
Indecision, and fear, the
root of the matter . . .
Hope each of you is well. See you next week! Cheers, j-b

Nice ones J-B!!! You’re the best. Stay warm! There’s a blizzard happening outside my window, and ShaMoo and I are hunting Groundhog (per FB) today.

Those are great! And now I wonder where the Root for a team comes from?
